The Weatherford office of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas serves six of our firm’s 114 counties, and partners with agencies within our service area. Although the office is tiny, it is mighty.
The office partners with shelters in Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, and Parker Counties to ensure that clients’ legal needs, including safety planning, are being met; we also enjoy a strong relationship with the various courts in our rural counties. It is not unusual for an applicant to contact us after a referral from court personnel.
Weatherford office staff attend local bar association luncheons and often provide presentations and training to its members. The Weatherford office also works well with the county and district attorneys’ offices.
Our office conducts in-person monthly legal clinics with domestic violence victims at Freedom House in Weatherford and Cross Timbers in Stephenville.
