The San Angelo office of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas works closely with community organizations by attending community meetings and local outreach events such as MHMR’s annual Freedom Fiesta and monthly Homeless Navigation Days hosted by the Concho Valley Homeless Planning Coalition.
The Equal Justice Volunteer Program (EJVP) coordinator is well known by agencies serving our client community through his participation with and networking at various outreach events; our office regularly receives direct referrals as a result of these connections. Referrals to the office also come from the local family shelter, Open Arms Rape Crisis Center & LGBTQ+ Services, as well as several agencies serving veterans.
When schedules permit, our office staff support agencies by participating in local fundraisers such as the Outrun Student Hunger 2K run/walk and the San Angelo Clubhouse .5K & Mental Health Resource Fair.
