Home Preservation Project (HPP)

Project Overview

Originally formed to address the rise of housing instability and fight unlawful evictions during the pandemic, the Home Preservation Project (HPP) works collaboratively with eviction courts and partner agencies including homeless shelters and crisis centers to provide coordinated, holistic advocacy throughout our 114-county service area.

While HPP staff continues to respond to the needs of tenants and homeowners to preserve homes and help maintain stable housing for low-income individuals, today its work has been broadened to include a range of civil legal issues that have a direct impact on housing stability including employment discrimination, foreclosure prevention, wills and estate matters, criminal record expunction and nondisclosure, and driver license restoration cases.
